About Jessica
Jessica Spence
B.Tech.POD (SA)
As a podiatrist trained through the University of Johannesburg, Jessica was privileged to begin her career working with one of the top orthotists, prosthetists and podiatrists in the country. Working in a rehabilitation centre, and as a past provincial swimmer and hockey player, Jess quickly developed a special interest in sports injuries and biomechanical problems. Her years of experience practicing within the physical rehabilitation sphere have added to Jess’s passion and insight into this area.
Jess has written for Front Shop Magazine and is a regular contributor to Fabulous Women Magazine. She is involved with biomechanical screenings of students in schools across the northern suburbs of Johannesburg and believes that early detection of biomechanical anomalies and problems in children can prevent a multitude of musculo-skeletal issues later in life.
Jess balances a busy work schedule with a vibrant home life and she and her husband are currently expecting their first child.
